You must enter Windinglake via the BLUE ROUTE
Coming by train
Trains run from London Paddington to our local station at Castle Cary. All we can say about this is that it’s very busy and that we cannot arrange taxi / transfers to Windinglake we are sorry to say. However, it works and there are multiple taxi services in the area you could Google to help get you up to us.
Coming by car
(via blue route)
If you choose to arrive by car, your caravan, tent, or motor home will have more than enough space for you to park next to it. None of that ‘walking for miles carrying all your kit’, you get when staying anywhere on the main site. We will also ensure that you are provided with the relevant vehicle passes and maps that get you here.
Coming by Bus or Coach
Windinglake does not offer a collection or transfer/shuttle service from any of the bus or coach stops, so if you have opted for this mode of transport we strongly suggest you look in to where your drop off point will be and how you can get up the blue route to us from there.
Coming by Taxi/ Chauffeur
Whilst drop off isn’t a problem ( please make sure that you get us to send you a BLUE ROUTE PASS to whoever is chauffeuring you to gain access) in the run up to the festival starting, collection on Monday is notoriously a nightmare and we have had guests waiting p to 12 hours to be collected, as the one-way traffic is reversed at Midnight on teh Sunday and no ‘new’ traffic is permitted to enter said system. As such, we highly recommend anyone booking a driver, be collected on Sunday night, before chaos ensues. Windinglake cannot accept any responsibility for drivers not getting to us in good time or at all and those booking this mode of transport do so at their own risk.
